Tom and Shelly have asked that I do not buy them or Lane anything that has been “Made in China”.
This sure makes shopping for them a challenge.
Here is an example:
Shelly’s Birthday: Went to the store to buy her some t-shirts. “Made in China” Back on the rack they go. Found a perfect canvas tote bag with the Beatles on the side. “Made in China” Back on the hook it goes.
Lane – Halloween: Found an adorable “Elmo” costume. “Made in China” Back on the hanger it goes. Found a cute little “Elmo Head” Halloween basket. “Made in China” Back on the shelf it goes. Looked at tons of Halloween books for Lane. I never realized how much stuff is “Printed in China”
Tom – Birthday: He wanted a video game. I forgot to look at the back when I bought it. After he had opened the present, I tried getting it back to look. Tom caught on real quick and wouldn’t let me look at it. It WASN’T GOING BACK!!!
However, it wasn’t “Made in China” so it was a keeper anyways.
Christmas: I’m getting so tired of looking at the back of everything to make sure it isn’t “Made in China”.
This has been an eye-opener though. I never realized how many products we just buy and never realize where it was made.
Lucky for me. I was able to find a NHL Jersey for Lane. The smaller size jerseys were “Made in China”. His size… Made in Indonesia. HURRAY!
Hey! I’m trying to stick to the program. I should get a few brownie points for this Christmas.
